Site 86 Site 86 Site 90

Project Description

BPS 86 is a DYK .5 MG Reservoir used to mix and reduce arsenic levels. Site 86 included blending of Well 86 water and RWDS surface water introduced in the reservoir for disinfection and distribution to multiple pressure zones. This is accomplished with the five (5) vertical turbine pumps, soft start technology, 4000 gallon hydro-pneumatic tank, 1500kw standby generator power, chlorine gas disinfection and FM 200 fire protection. Site improvements included grading, excavating, backfilling, masonry site wall and return to natural dg native landscape.

BPS 90 entailed improvements to an inline booster station for reliability of electrical, control, check valves, HVAC and temperature control and the upgrades to Standby Power (350kw). Station 90 maintained service during all construction with temporary power configurations, and coordination with APS to ensure system operations during construction.
